Best: Get Behind The Lads
Tommy Best has urged Hull City fans to show their support and stay behind to cheer on the Under-18s against Wigan Athletic in the FA Youth Cup at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.
John Anderson’s and Terry Boyle’s young side are in cup action on the KCOM pitch immediately after the first-team's Sky Bet Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday and Best wants the home crowd to make their voices heard.
"Just get behind us is the message to the fans," he said. "The support we had in the Third Round tie against Cardiff last month was nothing short of superb.
"That night was an amazing experience - one of the best nights of my life. The atmosphere inside the stadium created by the fans getting behind us made it ten times better. Walking off the pitch having won the game that night was an amazing feeling!
"It's one of the best football matches I've ever been involved in to-date and to get another chance to play on the KCOM pitch is one that everyone in the team is relishing.
"And it would be great if the supporters could stay behind after the first-team fixture to cheer us on. It's a big game for us and to have the fans get behind us once again would be massive."
