Class Of 2019 Sign Scholarship Deals
Hull City's latest intake of Academy Scholars put pen-to-paper on their new two-year deals at the KCOM Stadium on Thursday night as they look ahead to the next stage in their careers.
The young Tigers, some of which have played for the Under-18s this season, will now join the Academy's Scholarship programme on a full-time basis ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
The bright prospects attended the special introductory evening at the KCOM, where they posed for photos, signed their contracts and relevant paperwork and were treated to food and a presentation hosted by Academy Manager Jon Beale.
The full list of Academy Scholars to sign is as follows: Louis Beckett, Harvey Carew, Harry Fisk, Oliver Green, Josh Hinds, Will Jarvis, Jake Leake, Harry Lovick, McCauley Power, Luke Rees, McCauley Snelgrove and Josh Ward.
The group of 16-year-olds come from a variety of backgrounds, with some having spent a number of years at the Academy already, while others have only joined in recent months.
With members of their respective families watching on proudly, the class of 2019 sat down with Beale and Academy Secretary Charlotte Carrington to commit themselves to the Academy for the next two years.
Reflecting on the evening, Beale said: "It was a great night and certainly one of the biggest we've held during my time at the Club with us welcoming 12 new scholars, but one of the biggest positives for us is that the majority of those players have progressed through our ranks to achieve a scholarship.
"It's a fantastic achievement by the lads and I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate them each and every one of them on signing their first contract.
"They deserve a lot of credit because this is probably the most difficult one they'll ever earn and it's something they should all be very proud of."
