Dawson Looking Forward To Pocklington Cup Test
Andy Dawson has urged everyone involved in tonight's East Riding FA Senior Cup clash away at Pocklington Town (KO 7.30pm) to take the chance to impress with both hands.
Dawson and Jon Beale will take charge of a mixed Hull City U18s/U23s side for the second round tie in what will be the former Tigers left-back's first experience of the cup competition.
Looking ahead to the fixture, Dawson said: "It will be a new experience for me, taking charge of a team in the competition for the first time, and I'm sure it will be the same for some of the lads involved tonight," he said.
"It's another opportunity for the lads to learn and develop from. It's also another platform for them to go out and show what they're capable of.
"It will be a very different game to what our players are used to at U18 and U23 levels, but it's one that everyone has to turn up for with the right attitude for what will undoubtedly be a tough test against a strong Pocklington Town side."
Admission to tonight's game at The Henry Thirsk Amenity Centre (YO42 2NZ) is free of charge for all supporters.
