Greaves Pens First Professional Contract
Hull City can confirm that Jacob Greaves has signed his first professional contract with the Club.
The 18-year-old is a product of the Tigers' Academy system and has been on the books at the Club since the age of eight.
Son of former Tigers defender Mark, the Cottingham-born centre-back - who has featured for both the Under-18s and Under-23s this season - has put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal with a Club option for a further year.
Speaking after signing, Greaves said: "To sign my first professional deal is a wonderful feeling and something I've been working towards for a long time now.
"When I found out I was going to be offered the deal, I was over the moon. It's a great reward for all of the hard work I've put in over the years, especially since becoming a scholar at the age of 16.
"This is what I've always wanted since I was a young lad and to do so with Hull City - my hometown club - really is a dream come true.
"I know this is only the first step though. I've got to keep my head down and continue to work hard, develop and progress in all areas of my game."
Everyone at the Academy would like to congratulate Jacob on his contract and we look forward to his continued development.
