Lewis-Potter Targeting More Goals And Three Vital Points

Keane Lewis-Potter is hoping to add to his already impressive goal tally as the Under-23s go in search of three vital Premier League Cup points at Oxford United this evening.

The diminutive front-man bagged a brace away at Crewe Alexandra last week to take his tally for the season to fourteen in all competitions at Development Squad level and is targeting more in tonight's Group E clash as Jon Beale's look to get the result they need to keep alive their hopes of qualification to the knockout stages of the competition.

"It was great to be back on the scoresheet against Barnsley last time out - they were my first goals for a while now," said Lewis-Potter.

"It took my tally for the season at Under-23 level to fourteen and the aim now is to add to that in the remainder of the campaign because scoring goals makes me happy.

"I always feel confident in front of goal and I'll just continue to work hard to get into positions to put the ball in the back of the net - starting against Oxford tonight.

"It's an important game for us because we have to come away with the three points in order to keep alive our hopes of progressing from the group.

"We beat them on home soil in the first group game and we'll go to Oxford with a gameplan to get the result we need because it's vital that we get the win this evening."
