Preview: Colchester United U18s vs Hull City U18s
Hull City Under-18s round off their U18 Professional Development League campaign with a long trip to Colchester United on Saturday (KO 11am).
John Anderson and Terry Boyle's young side head into the clash looking to maintain their fine form since the turn of the year, which has seen them register 21 points from a possible 33 in their last eleven games - including an impressive six wins.
Colchester have struggled through the campaign and sit at the foot of the U18 Professional Development League South table having accumulated eight points from their 26 games played to-date - with their solitary win coming with last month's 4-2 victory over Birmingham City. Since that result, The Us have slipped to defeats at the hands of Leeds United (6-0) and Crystal Palace (2-0).
The U18 Professional Development League is split into two regional divisions, North and South. Teams play opponents in their own division twice and the other division once, with the sides who finish first and second in each league meeting in the end-of-season play-offs to determine the overall national champions.
