Preview: Crewe Alexandra U23s vs Hull City U23s

Hull City Under-23s continue their Professional Development League campaign this afternoon with a trip to Crewe Alexandra (KO 1pm).

The fixture will see Jon Beale's side come up against the Railwaymen for the second time this season, following the Tigers' 3-2 defeat on home soil at the Roy West Centre in November.

The Under-23s currently sit in tenth spot in the North section of the Professional Development League - 16 points and five places behind today's hosts who have taken 32 points from 20 matches.

The Tigers head into the clash looking to end a six-game winless run, having last picked up maximum points when beating Bolton Wanderers 2-0 back in December.

Crewe, meanwhile, head into the clash in somewhat indifferent form having won two, drawn two and lost two of their previous six league fixtures, although they did register a 2-1 win away at Bolton Wanderers last time out.

In-game updates will be provided on the Academy’s Twitter account - @HullCityAcademy - with a report on www.hullcityacademy.com to follow.
