Report: Barnsley U23s 0 Hull City U23s 3

Hull City U23s made it three league wins on the spin with a convincing 3-0 win away at Barnsley on Friday afternoon.

After a slow start to proceedings at the Oakwell Training Ground, Billy Chadwick opened the scoring on 18 minutes. A swift counter attack from the Tigers saw McCauley Snelgrove release James Berry down the left. His low pass found Chadwick, who took advantage of a slip by Ali Omar before finding the bottom corner with a composed finish.

And it was 2-0 before the break when, on 32 minutes, James Berry finished a flowing team move. Chadwick and Snelgrove combined to find Callum Jones on the edge of the box. His superb first time delivery picked out an unmarked Berry, who volleyed home at the back post.

The Tigers' dominate continued after the break and on the hour mark, Chadwick doubled his tally for the afternoon when he was released by Berry's clever back-heel before applying a clinical finish to effectively end the tie as a contest.
