Report: Watford U23s 5 Hull City U23s 0

Hull City' U23s suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Watford in their opening Professional Development League fixture of the 2019/20 campaign on Monday afternoon.

In a game that saw the hosts dominate from start to finish, the opening goal of the game came on 27 minutes. Kane Crichlow was the provider as his lay-off was expertly finished by a Hornets' trials.

Watford added a second goal eight minutes before the break when Crichlow fired home from Marvin Zeegelaar's left-wing cross.

The Hornets' third goal again saw provider become scorer as Zeegelaar found the bottom corner after a neat turn inside the Tigers' box created space for a shot.

Watford’s fourth came from a swift counter with just 13 minutes remaining as Joseph Hungbo netted after being teed up by Sam Dalby before Crichlow doubled his tally with well-taken volley juts three minutes later.

And there was more frustration for Jon Beale's side as Danny Lupano was sent-off in the closing stages for a mis-timed challenge on Jayden Bennetts.
