Rouse Eyeing Immediate Response
Jay Rouse is eyeing an immediate return to winning ways for Hull City Under-18s when they host Crewe Alexandra at Bishop Burton this afternoon.
John Anderson and Terry Boyle's side's five-game unbeaten run come to an end at the weekend with a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Charlton Athletic.
Rouse and his team-mates have the opportunity to bounce back against the Railwaymen, with the second-year scholar ear to come out on top in what he expects to be a tough game.
"It was annoying that we lost on Saturday," he said. "Obviously we went into the game with confidence on the back of recent results, but they made it very tough for us and challenged us pretty well.
"We can't dwell on the defeat though. We've got another game now and that is our only focus. We've got two games remaining this season and we want six points.
"It's Crewe up next. We should have won the last game we played against them (3-2 away defeat), and hopefully we make amends for that.
"We won't underestimate them though. We'll go out and look to be as strong as always.
"I think it's going to be a battle. Obviously both teams will be wanting the points, but we've got to want it more."
