Salam: We Go Again

Salam: We Go Again

Ahmed Salam is targeting an immediate response to Monday night's home defeat to Leeds United when the Under-23s travel to Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

Jon Beale's side lost 3-1 to their Yorkshire rivals at the Roy West Centre in the Tigers' opening match of 2019 and Salam is aiming for nothing less than victory as they look to bounce back at the first time of asking at The City Ground.

"It was a frustrating night for everyone involved on Monday," he said.

"The conditions didn't make it easy for either side, but we can't use that as an excuse.

"Being honest, we didn't deserve anything from the game on the back of our performance. We wanted to start the New Year on a positive note but it wasn't to be. However, we've got a chance to put that right at Nottingham Forest today.

"It's been a quick turnaround but everyone is up for the challenge and we want to put things right by producing a much-improved performance as we look to get the three points."
